As winter held its unforgiving grip,
The guardian of the white lay in wait,
Braving the shards of the icey nip,
Not allowing winter to pillage and take,
What she has faught so hard to gain,
The right to live another day to guard again
this piece represents a snow leopard yearling, laying in wait for winters harsh grip to release itself from the lands. What does she feel? Scared? Alone? Cold? Afraid? Unbeaten? Lessons are seldom learned in many ways, but they are never learned easily. This is no acception. Nature can be unforgiving and she favors those who survive. Those who pass her tests of strength not only in body but in mind. This young one keeps close to what little shelter she has found and waits the storm out, eyes of determination , heart of pure strength and the will to survive.
Artist Critique:
Ok guys.. this took at least a month to do. On and off work mostly, but for the most part, this took quite a while to accomplish. Yes, Kovo needs to work MORE on her scenery as you can tell here, I have very little, if any , skill in scenery. Snow isnt the easy. I also wanted the snow leopard to blend in with the surroundings as well. Kind of like she's melted into them. Is one. This took quite a while to do. I looked at quite a few snow leopard pictures, just to get a reference as to how they look and mostly their markings. This is my first feline. All and all, im proud of it. snow
