<sub>Two wolves bound by the same heart and spirit roamed for long hours admits the shadowy catacombs of tall timbered tree's and serpent vines. There was an unknown scent that gathered beneath their charcoal noses, a scent that was all to familiar. Mother nature would have her fine secrets, hiding the beauty of the world beneath her beautiful bosom and this was no exception. Quietly they continued their trace as the invisible trail the wind left for them to follow would not wane nor steer them without purpose. Finally, reaching the small mossy knoll, the form of a fellow comrade, a fellow wolf lay there covered with what little the earth had already begun to digest. The fur though unkept was eerily groomed as if by some chance nature herself would not allow such a beautiful creature to perish undignified, unhonored. The two wolves investigated and found the scavengers had already begun to flock to the intended free meal, scaring off with a few nips to the air, they slowly approached and to each themselves begun to wish a safe passage to the next world, the world of ancestors.

They stood there for a long while unknowing to what had befallen it, but only now that it was truly free and for its last knowing time, it would have guardians to stand before it and honor its flesh to which it had left to the earth to give back. Death such a harsh thing to accept seemed so peaceful at times. In silent respect, the two moved forward and slipped into the misty fog and disappeared leaving the fallen to peace, earth and the last dying light of fireflies.</sub>

<sub>This is Kovo & Mondeis traveling about in the quiet woods until they stumble upon a fallen wolf. I've been focusing on detail more latley and I really enjoyed this practice. I need help with scenery too lol. Thanks *mondeis for the chance to participate - I hope I got your colors ok!

Why I chose the song
I chose this song because its one of my favorites from VNV Nation and the lyrics speak to me on a very deep, emotional level. One I think many could relate too. I felt as though it compared to the wolf who had fallen and if any of those words were spoken in mind. Wondering what had happened? What have they done to be taken? So soon? So late? What were the thoughts pondered before that final breath. We won't ever know because our imagination will take us there..</sub>
