About Using This Image

This took me 9 hours to complete. This is the largest painting I have done in 300DPI and the most challenging I have done yet. My laptop couldn't handle it hardly hah. It literally took 5 minutes each time I saved ... but I pushed through and came up with this. I must say I am rather impressed on how this came out and very happy with myself for pushing myself to go beyond! I was going for a mystical type of phoenix. I used some references from my own personal stock for the head, the rest of it I just used my imagination. If you look closely you can see that there might be more to this piece then meets the eye. It looks like a phoenix but as well, a griffin emerging out of the hot embers.

I always thought that being creative was born from within. Your inspiration comes alive and sometimes it withers away into ashes, only to be reborn again. This contest has really helped me bring out a lot of creativity in my own self so I am truthfully humbled and grateful for this amazing opportunity to push myself to my limits (and my laptops lol).
