------Artist Critique:------
This took a better of two days to do. This is a gift for a friend of mine. I really need to work on my clouds *chuckle* but my inspiration comes from the lovely and very talented ~weremoon and her clouds. She has a good and helpful tutorial in her gallery, check it out.

The right eye is buggin me a bit only cuz it looks like its coming out of the horses head, but, its alot like that. When you look at a horse at certain angels, their eyes come out abit from their head. Anywho, horses are very hard to draw *lol* Yay for horse anatomy that I failed at.. but I like it! I will probably go back and do the body

but all in all I REALLY enjoyed this and i've got a new spark of inspiration to do a whole series of ' painted horses '. Adding in all the symbols that are usually depicted on a war horse in Native tradition as alot of them mean alot of different things.

I also got a new watermark / signature take a look at the lower right corner

Circle Around the Eye: A circle around the horse's eye and nostrils for alert vision and a keen sense of smell

Hand Print: the horse's Battle Scars (always painted red) and the Pat Hand Print (left hand drawn on the horse's right hip) were the highest honors. The Pat Hand Print was always reserved exclusively for the horse who had brought his master back home from a dangerous mission unharmed.

also it can mean..

From the Apache and Commanche tribes, legends about this handprint tell of a furious battle in which a warrior was fatally wounded. Before the brave warrior's death, he patted his horse on the right shoulder, thus leaving a bloody handprint on his horse for all his people to see his "message of death" when the horse returned to camp.
