I use the default setting, because I didn't know any better. xD I read all the posts here, and they helped me understand this better. (especially =Lazeros' comment!) I'll work on bigger resolutions from now on. ^.^

Exactly , thats why I appreciated her comment too, because it was very informative, descriptive and helped me understand alot of things I dont understand about printing

300 dpi in case I want to make prints.

When scanning my artwork I scan in 400dpi, which is what is required for making high quality art prints.

When I scan linework in to colour, I usually scan it in at 150-200 dpi.
