Err I'm surprised hotmail is winning o_O I've always seen hotmail as a teenager email. It's junky looking to me, spam galore. I only have one because I use MSN messenger. I don't even check my email, and when I do, I get over 50 emails that are spam and even more emails in the spam folder. Yes, hotmail is for a better chat client, but that doesn't mean it has to be your main e-mail account.

Gmail is amazign. It's clean, I've never ONCE gotten spam on it (and neither has my boyfriend), I can look at my Google Calendar which I have connected. Plus, they now have the personal feature where you can put pretty pictures on your Gmail page XD I have mountains.

I think people are saying hotmail just because they have no idea what Gmail is :P Gmail is definately the more 'mature' e-mail between the two.

Oh yea, and I forgot, Gmail stores LOADS of space. I have over 50 emaisl in my inbox right now and I'm only taking up a fraction of the space, and some of those emails contain .psd files. The space is waay more than you'll ever need. Plus, you can send yourself huge files and Gmail will accept them. My friend had to send me OpenCanvas through Gmail because his other e-mail provider said it was too large ;)

very interesting! Ya, right now I have hotmail as well as gmail.

I really like both, well I have the hotmail client where it downloads the mailer onto your desktop so its like mozilla thunderbird. Which I also like you can change the skins for.

I"m just trying to figure out what to switch my main email too because I dont want to have to keep checking both accounts. I wan't a primary email. I've had my hotmail account sense like.. forever lol. I use that for a lot of my things such as online sign ups and such.

I'm just not sure which client to go with :)

but I say Gmail because everyone has been saying that and they're giving really good reasons o_O (doesnt have Gmail)
